Sherwin wins Ladies Ranking Event 2
 The second RIBSA Ladies Ranking event took place in NUI maynooth on Sunday, 1st November 2009. The Irish Ladies pool champion Sandra Bryan(Breakers,Gorey) joined the ladies today to play in her first ever snooker competition. 


She showed why she is a champion by getting to the final by beating the current No. 2 Treasa Keegan in the semis. 



They had a brilliant match with Sandra storming into a 2-0 lead but Treasa showed great tenacity and determination to pull it back to 2-2.  It was level in the final frame coming to the colors but Treasa went in off a few times to give Sandra the advantage and Sandra cleared to the pink then to win the match. 


The other half of the draw seen Catherine Fitzsimons take on Michelle French. These two always have great matches and no change here. Michelle left the black hanging over the middle in the first frame to gift it to Catherine after leading the whole way through. 

This put the wind in Catherines sails and she didn't miss much in the next two frames to win the match 3-0. Catherine the played current No. 1 Michelle Sherwin in the semi's and allthough she played well Michelle eventually won the match 3-0. 

Michelle played Sandra Bryan in the final and won this match 3-0. 

The ladies would like to welcome Sandra and commend her on such a great performance on her first snooker tournament.
